The memorable character in kalicharan is AJITbornn as hamid ali khan at golconda 27jan 1922.ajit trhe popular villan of hindi cinema was known for his stylish and pevuliar dialouge delivery.his dialoguessara sehar mujhe lion k naam se jaanta hai,mona darling,smart boy,lilly don't be sillywent on to become rage.Ajit who ran away from home to Mumbai after selling his college books, started his career in the 40's. Luck did not favour him in the initial stages of his career, he started his carrier with 1946 movie " Shahe Misra "opposit heroine Geeta Bose & also did films as Sikander(van mala),Hatimtai(1947),Aap Beeti(Khursheed),Sone Ki Chidiya(Leela Kumari),Dholak(Meena Shori)& Chanda Ki Chandni(Monica Desai)as leading hero but flopped.He did most of films(15) with Nalini Jaywant. Ajit switched over to play villain and withfilms like Jewel Thief, Zanjeer, Yaadon Ki Baraat among others, there was no looking back for Ajit.
In the mid-seventies he had acted in over 57 films mostly as villain. His dialogue delivery remains so popular even till this date that his son Shahazad had to imitate his father to survive in film world before making a name for himself.
